As a mining company with a significant global footprint, we constantly challenge ourselves to minimize, eliminate and where possible, offset our environmental impacts.

In order to achieve zero environmental harm, we have rigorous management systems in place for environmental aspects including Water, Energy, GHG Emissions, Waste Management and Tailings Management.

We comply with both national standards such as the Mining Association of Canada’s Towards Sustainable Mining framework and international standards such as ISO 14001.

Beyond industry norms, we recognize our responsibility to invest in research and development to find new ways of designing our mines and management systems with environmental stewardship as a central priority. That is why we’ve invested in partnerships with universities and research institutes to create environmental solutions.
