Dorena Quinn is Chief People Officer at IAMGOLD Corporation, where she leads the company's global people strategy across operations in Canada and West Africa. Since joining IAMGOLD in 2018, she has held progressively senior leadership roles, helping shape the organization's talent strategy, leadership development, culture and employee experience during a period of significant growth and transformation. As Chief People Officer, Dorena leads a people strategy designed to strengthen leadership capability, organizational culture and talent strategies that drive business performance.
With more than 20 years of executive HR leadership experience, Dorena has helped organizations navigate transformation, develop leaders and build high-performing workplace cultures. Prior to joining IAMGOLD, she held senior HR leadership roles across the media research, technology, and financial services sectors, with expertise spanning organizational transformation, talent development, HR strategy and culture.
Beyond her executive responsibilities, Dorena is an active contributor to the mining and human resources communities. She currently serves as Vice Chair of the Dean's Advisory Board for Laurentian University's Faculty of Management and Executive-in-Residence with Western University's Ivey Field Project. She previously served on the boards of the Mining Association of Canada and EURO Ressources S.A. and chaired the Mining Industry Human Resources Council's Safe Workplaces for All initiative, advancing equity, diversity, inclusion and respectful workplaces across Canada's mining sector.
A frequent speaker on leadership, organizational culture and the future of work, Dorena is committed to developing the next generation of business leaders. She holds a master's degree, multiple professional HR certifications and has been recognized as an HRPA Woman of Distinction Excellence Award honouree. She was also named one of the WIM100 Global Inspirational Women in Mining.
