Earlier this spring, our Essakane mine in Burkina Faso celebrated its top employees of 2024 on the camp terrace. In a warm and festive atmosphere, the Employee Recognition Gala provided an opportunity for our management team to unveil the name of this year’s Employee of the Year.

 Honouring Top Performers

Pascal Forogo, a logistician in the supply chain department, earned the top spot on the podium. He was followed by Joseph Kone, Technical Maintenance Manager for Aircraft in General Services, and Koffi Benoît d’Amenyito, Supervisor of Capital Projects. Congratulations to all of them!

Recognizing Dedication and Commitment

Including our top three honourees, a total of 12 employees were recognized for their exceptional performance during the gala, which marked its tenth edition. The award recipients received their accolades directly from Tidiane Barry, our Vice President, West Africa, and General Manager of Essakane, who shared the following words with the laureates and those in attendance:

“It’s an honour for me to work alongside such committed employees. Our 2024 laureates embody our company’s values and fully deserve this recognition. Whether through remarkable initiatives, inspiring attitudes, or consistent performance that significantly contributed to our production, each of you has worked tirelessly to go above and beyond.
