Partnering with our host communities to build a healthy, safe, sustainable future is at the core of what we do at IAMGOLD. Our Côté Gold team recently welcomed our community partners from Gogama (Ontario) for a quarterly update meeting and a chance to reconnect!
While they were at site, the group toured the mine. Stops included the processing plant, open pit and state-of the-art operations control room, where our dedicated team of highly skilled technicians manage an entirely autonomous fleet of hauling and drilling vehicles!

The visiting community members were members of the Gogama Socio-economic Management and Monitoring Committee, which represents various organizations within the town of Gogama including Gogama Local Services Board, Gogama Chamber of Commerce, Gogama Local Roads Board and Gogama Heritage Museum.
These regular meetings are a wonderful opportunity for both groups to exchange information, build personal ties and to help shape how IAMGOLD works with the community to support positive benefits of our mining activities at the community level. The gathering also offered an opportunity to celebrate Côté Gold’s recent milestones this year, including first gold in March and commercial production in August.
