Learning Beyond the Office: Talent DIG Interns Visit Côté Gold
Earlier this month, interns from IAMGOLD's Toronto and Quebec City corporate offices travelled to Côté Gold in Gogama, Ont., as part of the Talent DIG program, gaining firsthand exposure to the people, technology, operations and life-at-site culture.
After arriving on site on July 22 and spending the night at camp, the group took part in a full site tour the following day. For many interns, this was their first opportunity to visit a mining operation and see how the work happening across IAMGOLD connects to day-to-day activities at site.

Throughout the visit, interns toured the mill, Emergency Response Station, medical clinic, and repair and truck shop. They also had the opportunity to get up close to Côté Gold's autonomous haul trucks and learn more about the technology helping support the operation.
The tour also provided an opportunity to showcase the people and teamwork at the mine. Employees from across the site shared insights into their roles and responsibilities, highlighting the diverse expertise required to support modern mining. These conversations reflected the collaboration that takes place across departments every day to help keep the operation running safely and efficiently.

What They Are Saying
"I really enjoyed visiting Côté Gold. Seeing the huge site and the massive machines in person gave me a much better appreciation of the scale of the operation. It was especially nice to see firsthand what we work on and support from afar." said Ronan Lorcy, Intern, Project Engineering Management.
"Seeing the size and scale of a Tier 1 producer firsthand was an incredible experience. It was fascinating to observe how each person's role contributes to the project's success and how seamlessly all the moving pieces fit together." said Robert Sharpe, Intern, Investor Relations.
“My site visit to Côté Gold gave me the opportunity to see how a large-scale mining operation functions and to better understand the work that takes place beyond the office environment. The visit allowed me to connect my internship work to the broader business and gain a deeper understanding of the mining industry. Overall, it was a valuable learning experience that strengthened my professional development and gave me greater insight into IAMGOLD's operations and culture.” said Alankritha Donthi, Intern, Sustainability Reporting.
