Exploration & New Developments

EXPLORATION

The 2010 exploration program at Doyon was designed to test the main mineralised structures at levels below the existing shaft and additional peripheral targets within undeveloped portions of the mine stratigraphy.

Work underway includes 16,600 metres of diamond drilling and approximately 150 metres of underground development to provide for placement of drill stations.  The drill campaign is expected to continue into the first half of 2011.  At Mouka, the exploration and resource delineation program targeted Zone 47, a newly recognized subsidiary vein structure located only 35 metres north of existing workings.  Work to date has confirmed the geologic reinterpretation of historic drill results that led to the recognition of Zone 47, and established continuity of the vein structure both horizontally and vertically.

Recent Developments
as at September 30, 2011

As a cost savings initiative, the ore mined from Mouska had been stockpiled and batch processing commenced in the third quarter, with completion expected in the last quarter of 2011.
